It's the Circle of Life - No not really, Ciracle of Miracles Maybe!

It's way past update time, and time to get back to writing.
Life has a tendency of changing just as fast as the clock ticks by.  A person can go from the lowest of lows to the highest high in the same breath.
To start with a low...  I am still attending physical therapy and am still SLOWLY progressing, but because I am dealing with the government they don't care or feel it necessary to look at the bigger picture.  We submitted my request for an updated authorization to be able to continue therapy, just like we had done for a year.  However the outcome was much different than expected.  Instead of a new authorization number, we were met with a letter of denial.  "Our board of professionals has determined that Mr. Taylor will not progress any further, therefore continued authorizations will be denied."
Are you serious!?!?  The doctors at the hospital told me that I may begin to see results at the one - two year point, not reach my limit, prior to my one year anniversary.
There are miracles that come attached, the Physical Therapy clinic is amazing.  They have given me permission to continue to rehab and use the clinic.  There are amazing people that are honestly answers to endless prayers.
Miracle 2
Several months ago I was approached by two very dear friends, actually more than friends, they are battle buddies.  We served in the same company for several years.
They told me they had started a non-profit organization dedicated to aiding veterans dealing with PTSD, and told me their dream to turn it into something more.  Little did I know just how much more this dream would become.  I am the first benefactor of the dream called VetCave.

When I was first informed that I was quite stressed out and nervous.  Why me?  I don't deserve this, I don't have the hero story that merits such a blessing or gift.  To add even more stress and anxiety the project was to be completed Extreme Home Makeover style including cameras and interviews all over the place.     The stress continued to grow as we learned they wanted to transform my storage shed into my VetCave, this was a major problem, I have zero storage space inside my house and the shed was literally storing everything we own.  Not only was this stress for me, but my poor wife, who was thrown to the wolves.
As time neared for the build to begin I was so full of doubts and questions, I tried to call off the project.  My fears were heard and addressed more than I could imagine.  An entirely new shed was delivered and build, to store everything, my new VetCave was completely remodeled and and finished, along with brand new custom shelves to continue to store my more delicate items.
The cameras were everywhere, but the story that was told wasn't about hardships or war.  It was all about service, love and growth after difficult times.  I am actually excited to see the final production after we complete a few minor projects with the cave.

Miracle 3
VetCave not only created a safe space that I can use as an office and creative space, the provided me with the means to complete some long time goals and start a business.  The instant network and friendships created are priceless.  I was even provided a life coach, who out of the honest goodness of her heart is volunteering time to assist in my journey.

There are so many ugly things in the world today.  But on the flip side the world is full of good people trying to help others and are asking nothing in return except to pay it forward.  That is my challenge every day, to serve someone in need and pay it forward.  Join the cause we can destroy the ugliness of the world, simply by serving others.  Pay it Forward!
